Piles.

Is piles treatment painful?

Discomfort varies with the condition and the method used. The doctor explains the examination and pain-management options before treatment. Please tell us about any pain or anxiety you have.

Do I need surgery for piles?

Not everyone with piles needs surgery. An examination helps determine whether medicines, Kshara Karma, Kshara Sutra or a surgical referral is appropriate. Nothing is decided for you.

How many days does treatment take?

The number of visits and recovery period depend on the stage of piles and the treatment chosen. The doctor tells you after an examination. We explain the plan before you begin.

Can piles come back after treatment?

Symptoms can return, and results vary from person to person. Bowel habits, constipation and other factors can affect symptoms. Follow-up and individual diet advice are part of your plan.

What is Kshara Sutra?

Kshara Sutra is an Ayurvedic procedure using a specially prepared medicated thread. It may be used for selected fistula cases and certain other conditions after an examination. The method, discomfort and follow-up needs are discussed individually.

I already had surgery and it came back. Can you help?

You can consult us about recurring symptoms after surgery. Bring previous reports and treatment details so the doctor can assess what is happening now. A suitable plan or referral depends on those findings.

Is treatment safe during pregnancy?

Pregnancy needs individual assessment and coordination with your obstetrician. Do not start medicines or procedures without medical advice. The doctor explains the options appropriate for you.

Do I need to stay in the clinic?

Some care may be provided during a visit, while other cases need observation or referral. Whether a stay is needed depends on the condition and procedure. The doctor tells you after consultation.

Fistula.

What causes a fistula?

An anal fistula can develop when a tract remains after an infection or abscess near the anus. Other causes are possible, so examination and sometimes additional tests are needed. Repeated discharge should be assessed by a doctor.

How is Kshara Sutra used for fistula?

A medicated thread may be placed through a suitable fistula tract by a trained practitioner. It needs planned reviews and thread changes according to the individual case. The doctor explains suitability, discomfort and alternatives before you decide.

Can I go to work during treatment?

This depends on your symptoms, the procedure and the type of work you do. Some people need changes to their routine or time away from work. The doctor discusses your plan after examining you.

How often will I need follow-up?

Regular follow-up is important during Kshara Sutra treatment. The schedule depends on the fistula tract and how you are recovering. The doctor explains the number and timing of visits.

What if I have swelling or an abscess?

A painful swelling, fever or pus discharge needs prompt medical assessment. An abscess may require drainage and other care; do not wait for it to settle on its own. The doctor will explain the next step or arrange referral.

Fissure.

Does a fissure need surgery?

Many fissures can be managed initially with bowel-habit changes and prescribed treatment. Chronic or difficult symptoms may need other options or a surgical opinion. An examination helps decide what is appropriate.

Why does passing stool hurt?

A fissure is a small tear in the lining of the anal canal. Passing stool can irritate the tear and trigger pain or muscle spasm. Bleeding and persistent pain should be assessed rather than assumed to be a fissure.

How does constipation affect a fissure?

Hard stools and straining can irritate a fissure and delay recovery. The doctor may advise fluid, fibre and medicines appropriate for your situation. Do not use laxatives long term without advice.

How long does recovery take?

Recovery depends on whether the fissure is acute or chronic and how it responds to care. The doctor explains what to expect after examination. Contact the clinic if pain or bleeding worsens.

Recovery.

Can I go to work during treatment?

This depends on your symptoms, the procedure and the type of work you do. Some people need changes to their routine or time away from work. The doctor discusses your plan after examining you.

Do I need to stay in the clinic?

Some care may be provided during a visit, while other cases need observation or referral. Whether a stay is needed depends on the condition and procedure. The doctor tells you after consultation.

Is treatment safe during pregnancy?

Pregnancy needs individual assessment and coordination with your obstetrician. Do not start medicines or procedures without medical advice. The doctor explains the options appropriate for you.

What should I eat during treatment?

Diet advice is tailored to your condition and bowel habits. Fibre-rich foods and adequate fluids are often discussed, along with avoiding foods that aggravate your symptoms. Ask your doctor about restrictions if you have diabetes, kidney disease or another condition.

When should I seek urgent care?

Heavy bleeding, dizziness, fever, severe increasing pain or a painful swelling should be assessed promptly. These symptoms may need urgent care rather than a routine visit. Contact an emergency service if you are acutely unwell.
